Triggering receptor expressed on?myeloid cells-1?Simoa
Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1 (TREM1) is a 234 amino acid transmembrane receptor that stimulates neutrophil- and monocyte-mediated inflammatory responses by triggering the release of pro-inflammatory chemokines and cytokines. It further amplifies the inflammatory responses triggered by bacterial and fungal infections by increasing surface expression of cell activation markers. TREM1 is a crucial mediator of both sepsis and non-infectious inflammatory conditions such as atherosclerosis, and has implications in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and colitis.
