Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 10 Olink
Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 10 (TNF10) is a 281 amino acid cytokine that is expressed on the surface of activated immune cells such as NK cells, T cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells. Three molecules of TNF10 in either transmembrane or soluble form bind to three molecules of various TNF10-cell surface receptors to form a hexameric complex. This complex activates MAPK8/JNK, caspase 3, and caspase 8 to induce apoptosis in transformed cells and tumor cells. TNF10 has implications in brain injuries and diseases such as asthma, influenza, leukemia, HIV, and various cancers including multiple myeloma.
