Matrix Metalloproteinase-12 Olink

Matrix Metalloproteinase-12 Olink

"Matrix Metalloproteinase-12 (MMP-12), also known as Macrophage metalloesterase, is responsible for the hydrolysis of soluble and insoluble elastin. Specific cleavages are also produced at 14-Ala-|-Leu-15 and 16-Tyr-|-Leu-17 in the B chain of insulin. Found in alveolar macrophages but not in peripheral blood monocytes, MMP-12 is induced by exposure to bacterial lipopolysaccharides (LPS). It is inhibited by dexamethasone and thought to be integral to wound healing."
