Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2
Lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2 (Lp-PLA2) is an enzyme produced by inflammatory cells that is found associated mainly with low-density lipoprotein in the plasma. As a biomarker, Lp-PLA2 is involved in the development of atherosclerosis, cardiac disease, and stroke.
