Granzyme A

Granzyme A is a protein that is encoded by the GZMA gene. Granzymes induce programmed cell death in a target cell. Granzyme A is the most abundant serine protease which targets T-cells and natural killer cells. It may function as a component necessary for lysis of target cells by cytotoxic T lymphocyes and natural killer cells.
