Fas Ligand
Fas ligand (FasL) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor family. FasL induces apoptosis after binding its receptor and forming the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC). Once bound the complex regulates the immune system in several ways such as T-cell homeostasis, cytotoxic T-cell activity, maternal tolerance to fetus, and tumor counterattack.
