Eotaxin-3
Eotaxin-3 (CCL26) is produced by epithelial cells, endothelial cells, and eosinophils. Because its expression is enhanced in allergic inflammation, eotaxin is thought to play an important role in allergy and asthma. The positions of four cysteine residues in eotaxin place it in the C-C family of chemokines, along with chemokines such as RANTES, MCP-3, and MIP-1 alpha.
